Educast gives you two simple options for fully automated production of audio or video streaming and podcasting. With one appliance you can record any video or audio source in the classroom, conference room, or video conferencing environment.
Option 1
Schedule your event with the web interface. The appliance automatically starts on schedule creating the podcast episode, stops when the event is over, and then publishes the podcast episode into the EDUcast Hosting System. No interaction is required by the instructor: all they have to remember is to speak into the microphone.
Option 2
The instructor can use a USB key. When the instructor inserts the key into the podcasting port, the appliance starts capturing; when the key is removed, the podcast is published into the EDUcast Hosting System and is available immediately for download to students, without any involvement from the instructor.
With EDUcast the production costs of podcasting can be reduced to zero, and no training is required to use the appliance.
